About Jonathan

Jonathan is a self taught UK Artist with 39 years experience and turned professional in 2010. He has painting many artwork commissions over the past years. His work over this time has been focused on creating detailed realistic artwork in subjects material of aviation, marine ships, pet portraits artwork.

Jonathan's commissioned work has originated from customers coming from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and Europe. He works in either watercolours or pastel pencils. Several of his ship paintings can be found in permanent art collections in leading National Naval Museums in the USA, Italy and New Zealand, donated from a private art collection in the USA. He has raised several thousands of pounds for three UK based charities from the proceeds of his paintings namely Fly2help, Shieldhall Steamship Charity, and the Bath Cats and Dogs Rescue Centre.

Some specific paintings have been flown in the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Avro Lancaster, Douglas DC3, in addition to the Ex Vulcan Trust iconic Avro Vulcan, and a Hawker Hunter. All money raised was donated to the Fly2help charity.

Jonathan has always loved to create unique special paintings of pet dogs and cats and has been commissioned since 1986 to date creating a special memory of many a beloved pet.

Jonathan is very passionate about his artwork and enjoys every minute of each painting he creates and this energy is positively reflected in his artwork.

In 2021 he is planning to add abstract paintings in acrylics to his portfolio of artwork.

Jonathan lives and works in the World Heritage City of Bath, married and enjoys walking their lovely Saluki X rescue dog.
